Artificial Intelligence

Artificial intelligence is no longer just something we saw in sci-fi movies; it has become a vital aspect of different industries. From healthcare to the financial sector, it is changing the way organizations operate and deliver value.

However, to use these AI applications to work seamlessly, customers and businesses must have access to a fast and reliable internet connection, since fast connectivity plays an important role in unlocking AI’s full potential.

That’s why I would recommend individuals and businesses to find internet plans on LocalCableDeals, since they allow you to look up your ZIP code to find internet in your area as well as compare providers.

Moving on, in this post, I will discuss how AI is being used in various industries and is helping them to grow.  So, let’s get started!

Streamlining Medical Operations in Health Care

AI has evolved the healthcare industry through automation, improving diagnostics, tailoring treatment, and streamlining medical operations. Medical virtual assistants are making the work more efficient, faster, and smarter than ever by analyzing medical images to detect early diseases.

I remember a few days ago, my dad went through a routine full-body checkup, and in that, he underwent several medical tests like cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, and others. The reports came out on Saturday night, and he wanted to understand the results.

So, I simply took the picture of his reports and uploaded it to Gemini and prompted it to interpret all these reports in simple terms. It translated all the reports in layman’s terms, making the entire process seamless and saving me unnecessary anxiety.

Operation Optimization in the Retail Industry

AI is revolutionizing the online retail industry by offering a personalized customer experience to its customers and optimizing operations like setting the pricing, predicting demand, and setting up inventory. All these tasks were done manually before and often took days to be completed.

But now, they can be done in a more efficient, automated, and faster way.

Since winters are very harsh in New York, I was looking for warm fur-styled jackets. I was browsing for it on Safari, and I couldn’t find the one I wanted.

And you probably already know what happened next. My Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok were full of jacket advertisements. They were all showing me articles I wanted to buy, which matched my preference range and style.

Similarly, we see Amazon using AI for hyper-personalized recommendations by analyzing a user’s browsing, past purchases, and searches with Machine Learning (ML) and Large Language Models (LLM) to predict their interests.

Personalized Learning in Education for Students

We can see many students using AI for learning, since they believe it offers them a personalized experience, instant feedback, and around-the-clock support. Moreover, there are so many AI tools in the market that have made education easier and more convenient for students.

I graduated last year, and to be honest, AI was the guardian angel I never knew I needed. It helped me with my thesis research. You just need to give the right prompts, and you will get the answer that you need. But, do make sure to verify all information.

When I was in university, ChatGPT was my sidekick, and trust me, it taught me way better than my instructors.

If you are a literature student like I was, I would recommend using tools like QuillBot and Grammarly, since they offer suggestions for tone, style, spelling, and even grammar. Tools like these can help you to refine your work and help you stand out.

Enhancing User Experience in Hospitality

AI is widely used in the hospitality industry to elevate the guest experience. For example, it manages the frequently asked questions, changes in booking, and customer support across various channels, offering human-like interactions.

Similar to how AI is used in the online retail industry, it is used here to analyze the guest data to understand their activities, dining suggestions, etc., to create a customized suggestion. Furthermore, it is used for seamless check-in and out, as features like facial recognition have replaced keys, leading to automated check-ins.

It also manages in-room technology like adjusting the entertainment system based on guest preferences and setting up lighting and temperature just the way the guest likes.

AI in Banking and Financial Sector

AI is used in the banking and financial industry to improve operational work, risk management, and to detect fraud. AI doesn’t work alone in this sector. It takes the help of ML and Natural Language Processing (NLP) to analyze vast data that enables valuable insights and automates the processing.

The AI algorithms are smart enough to monitor real-time transactions to identify suspicious activities that are different from customers’ regular patterns. This helps in financial criminal activities like money laundering and identity theft.

For example, American Express uses artificial intelligence to analyze transactions in milliseconds, identifying and suspending fraudulent patterns instantly.

And I believe that AI is a game-changer for multiple industries, as firms that actually know how to use it are improving their operations to stay competitive in today’s fast-paced world.
